The Khivraj Group is a well
known group in
the city with business history of nearly five decades. The flagship
company M/s Khivraj Motors Ltd., was started about 50 years ago
by Sri. Khivraj Chordia who was a visionary and a Financial Wizard.
Today, this group has a turnover of Rs.125 Crores and is one of the
largest dealers for Maruthi Vehicles.
The company has also made significant investment
in Wind Power Generation. Khivraj Automobiles Ltd., another group
company was started about 6 years ago and is one of the important
dealers for Bajaj Two Wheelers. M/s Khivraj and Company, a Partnership
Firm, handles the dealership of Bajaj Three wheelers.
The Group recently formed two new companies one by the name of M/s
K.A.Infrastructure Ltd., for undertaking Power Projects and M/s Khivraj
Estates Ltd., (a wholly owned subsidiary of M/s Khivraj Motors Ltd.,
) to take up residential real estate projects.
REAL ESTATE AND KHIVRAJ GROUP :-
The group has always been interested in Real Estate both as a business
activity and as an Investment Option. Among the real estate development
work done in the past, they have been mostly commercial projects and
they have built and delivered about 6, 00, 000 Sq. Ft of commercial
space in various locations in the city, out of which mention must
be made about the Khivraj Complex at Nandanam and city center at purasawalkam.
Their real estate portfolio included, among other things, properties
in Spencer Plaza etc., which yield them steady rental incomes.
The Group has identified residential property development as one of
the potential areas for Strategic diversification the group is already
in possession of two large tracts of land, one at Chrompet and other
at Saidapet, which will be used to kick start their new ventures.
Management Team : M/S.Khivraj Estates Ltd., is headed by Mr. Ajit
Kumar Chordia as the Managing Director of the Company. Mr. Ajit is
a mechanical engineer by qualification and has been leading the Khivraj
Group with great deal of vision and dynamism. He has distinguished
himself in several associations. Till recently, he was the Chairman
of Motor Vehicles and Allied Industries Association and is presently
Vice President of Federation of Automobile Dealers Association(FEDA).
He is also an active
Rotarian and nationally known Philatelist. Under his
leadership, the group has grown from strength to strength.
The Group has recently hired the services of Mr. V.Kalyanaraman, as
the President of the new company. Mr.V.Kalyanaraman has about 15 years
of experience in all facets of Real Estate Industry and has been the
Vice President of M/s. Mangal Tirth Estate Ltd., ( Promoters of Spencer
Plaza ) till recently. He has traveled extensively in U.A.E., Oman,
Kuwait, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia etc., and his views on Real
Estate have appeared in The Hindu, The Economic Times, Doordarshan,
Jaya TV and SUN TV.
The team is further strengthened by qualified civil engineers and
marketing specialists. top
